Our next Welcome Neighbor volunteer assembly and distribution days are currently underway. While shifts available are not currently scheduled in the VolunteerMatters system, please reach out the PBS Wisconsin Volunteer team at volunteer@pbswisconsin.org or (608) 265-4436 if interested in voluteering for this project. In the meantime, feel free to create a volunteer account by clicking “Login” and then the "Register Now" button. Please note that during the registration process, you will select "UW-Madison" as your campus and "Wisconsin Public Media" as the Madison/Extension Primary Volunteering Area. Once you have create a volunteer account, you will be able to sign up for volunteer shifts with PBS Wisconsin when shifts are available. PBS Wisconsin volunteers assist the station's Education Team by assembling hundreds of backpacks containing books, activities, and other useful items for refugee families. Resettlement agencies across our state then distribute those backpacks to the families they serve. Volunteers also organize and deliver the donated quilts from The Great Wisconsin Quilt Show and Quilt to Give to the resettlement agencies.

If you are unable to volunteer or there is an error in your schedule, please contact the PBS Wisconsin Volunteer Office at least 24 hours before your shift so a replacement can be scheduled.
